Jon Barlow Hudson is a contemporary sculptor working with various natural stones and metals. His site-specific and interior work have been placed in twenty-three countries around the world. The work is influenced by Ancient Chinese jade ritual objects and time-space continuum, and the teachings of Zen Buddhism and Tai Chi. These sculptures are a conversation between us and nature, the physical and the ephemeral: body, mind, time, space, and mark-making. Who we are and becoming. His work has an intimacy in its textures, scale, and personal intention. Jon Hudson maintains a studio in Yellow Springs, OH.

Shawn’s Shadow Maker’s and Hanging Disk Sculptures are influenced by light, shadow, and movement. The Shadow Makers are formed on a lathe, cut in half, and carved to illuminated shadow and form, then stitched back together and made to hang to emphasize movement and the play of light. The Hanging Disk Sculptures are lathed-formed and hand-finished. These have a strong sense of presence due to scale and form and also play with shadow and light.
