The Mind Of The Creative

“The creative mind inspires through beauty and resolves what it sometimes destroys.”

The creative mind is formed from intuition, wisdom and knowledge. Born from a need to express and decipher who we are, as we move through the terrain of time. The creative mind inspires through beauty and resolves what it sometimes destroys. It is the yin and yang, the light and dark of who we are, the cartographer and storyteller.

The direction of our lives is predicated on our mindset, how we interpret and create, our agility and resilience to be molded and to mold. To build and rebuild. It is the creative arenas that allow us to identify and to manifest who we are intrinsically, inspiring, easing and questioning who we are, where we are. We each have the capability to create, by way of personal philosophy and act of doing.

It is the creative mind that shines a light on possibility, creating the new as it ushers the dogmatic aside. We have each of us, the ability to create and destroy, to build anew from the rubble of the mind and life itself. It is the creative mind that fuels idea, empathy, hope and the action of doing and change. We are through centuries of evolution creators of forward vision, while simultaneously dogmatic in doctrine, pushing and pulling at what we desire the future to be.

The Creative Self

“A home is just a house if it lacks the collections of art, nature and books, all that encompasses love and joy.”

The creative arenas enhance the way we live. It’s in the books we read, the objects we collect, our music and the homes we live within. We are surrounded by inspiration and beauty, by creative resolve that eases our minds and bodies, building a future of possibility, and moments of joy.

A home is just a house if it lacks the collections of art, nature and books, all that encompasses love and joy. It is the creative arenas that eases life forward, compelling us to explore, seek and otherwise, nourish.

“We are surrounded by inspiration and beauty, by creative resolve that eases our minds and bodies, building a future of possibility, and moments of joy.”

Through creativity we express ourselves, resolve a need or solve a problem, whether it be global warming, emotions, or comfort at home. This is the capacity of the creative mind, our intrinsic capabilities to better our lives and the hurling future. There is extensive exploration being done in bioplastics and clean energy, a different mindset in general into how we create and live. This is our hope and demand, as we move intuitively forward. We have the ways and means of building the bridge its just a matter of trusting who we are and our creative capabilities, an issue of reinvention and timely self exploration.

It is the expression of the creative mind that speaks to a deeper meaning of who we are, a curiosity and need to understand the inner landscape and life itself. To express and explore, resolving our concerns of today. We thrive not by pure will, but by the pull of emotion and intuition. A deep desire to fulfill who we are intrinsically: satiating love, empathy and the need to create.

Within the process of creativity we discover our truest selves as individuals in society and society itself, finding clarity and meaning, while fueling purpose and hope. Through creativity we learn, edit and expand, creating a better future through better selves. This is a byproduct of creativity, the why before the what, our self exploration and expression, why we create: bringing joy, beauty and light.

We have come from creation, this is who we are and what we can do

Beauty And The Hand Created

“The hand created speaks to the intuition of beauty, the conversation between the gut and the brain that says yes, this is who I am, this is what I believe and feel.”

In a world of quick ship and quickly made it is refreshing to experience the hand created: objects of art and speciality designed furniture. It is the hand created and the creative mind that brings a certain depth to living our contemporary lives. A history of traditions that will never be forgotten or overshadowed by the quick and throwaway, as they reference profoundly to where we’ve come and to who we are intrinsically. The hand created speaks to the intuition of beauty, the conversation between the gut and the brain that says yes, this is who I am, this is what I believe and feel.

We are each, the manifestation of beauty, born from the stars and burdened by the trials of being human. It is beauty that soothes our ills, the salve that makes us better, or at least makes us feel as if, better. The beauty of the hand created separates us for a moment from the trials and errors of daily life. It’s the comma in the rambling sentence, the calming breath and cool breeze of long Summer days. Beauty has no agenda, though politics and social opinion attempts to sway our view, it is in the eye of the beholder, in the passion of the believer and doer. The beauty of the hand created is universal as nature and the human condition itself.

The use of natural materials in a created object takes beauty to a deeper level, a psychological and physical realm of who we are, separate from the doctrines of social identity. It is the natural world that makes us who we are in the bigger picture of the circle of life, our connection to sentient and non sentient beings, to grass, flowers and the trees with which we share oxygen. Beauty and the natural world are interwoven as is life and death, decay and the bursting of Spring’s floral blooms. The use of natural materials in crafted work penetrates with every touch and casual view, our psyche of historic entanglements, lying deep within our cells and porous bones.

“The writer Henry David Thoreau often wrote of walking in nature, the connection between ourselves and trees, floral scents that move from west to east and birds that sing their existence in a canopy of trees.”

The writer Henry David Thoreau often wrote of walking in nature, the connection between ourselves and trees, floral scents that move from west to east and birds that sing their existence in a canopy of trees. He wrote that there is nothing better than nature, its separateness from politics, gossip and the whim of human habit. He knew so well our place within the natural world, felt it deep enough to write it down for our consumption and hopeful understanding. He knew well of where we’ve come and the perils of being human, and possibly where we’re heading. For him, beauty and the natural world resonated far deeper than we in our fast paced world might ever appreciate, as we struggle to save nature and find the beauty within ourselves.

The appreciation of beauty is a reflection of oneself, how we wish to live and the mindset we choose to perpetuate, a harmony of mind, body, nature and living life: the ease of beauty, the humbling of the hand created.

Nourishing oneself with the beauty of the hand created delves deep into the intuitive self and one’s humanity, supporting others as we support ourselves. We are intrinsically of beauty, made in its image, of the stars and nature that surrounds us. It is no wonder that we covet and collect, it’s our way of understanding ourselves, countering the capricious unknown. Beauty is the reflection of all that we are, all that we seek, what we attempt to create in living our lives.

The hand created has a history that crosses nations, genders and political views, binding us together by the means of beauty. It is universal in how it touches our lives, documenting our past as it gives hope to the future. The hand created has always been our history, from the first cutting tools and bowls, to talismans that attempt to ease the unknown. We are intuitively creative beings, dreamers and doers with an eye to the future and another peering within.

We are what we create and collect, what we nourish as a means to smooth our way forward. It is through our endeavors of beauty that life is enhanced for ourselves and those we support and care for. The Mind And Hand

“If we are ruled by the mind as it seems, who then are we? We are, who we say we are.”

What’s possible is a function of the mind as is what’s not: what’s left unsaid, undone and the opposite. Life is predicated on mindset and doing, on emotion, action and reaction, it encircles a core of belief systems, inner guide posts of intuition, long held rules of conduct, maps.  If we are ruled by the mind as it seems, who then are we? We are, who we say we are.

“What’s destroyed and created are within the same possibility of mind, change is always possible and beauty waits within.”

Beauty is in the eye of the seer and in the belly of the maker, a reflection of who we are and how we see the world, what we see we believe and physically create. We build the world we live in by mindset and creation, to think, say and make, and we create change by the same process of mind and doing. What’s destroyed and created are within the same possibility of mind, change is always possible and beauty waits within.

“Change happens within the bud of the mind, it blossoms and blooms, creating the new and possible.”

To create change and beauty is to see who we are, to believe and act upon, to merely do as breathing and the heart beat. Change happens within the bud of the mind, it blossoms and blooms, creating the new and possible. We are who we say we are, we build through the beauty of the mind and the dexterity of the hand.
